Foreword
ALeRT Indonesia is a newly established NGO in Way Kambas, Labuhan Ratu, Lampung Timur District, Lampung Province. ALeRT is an acronym for Aliansi Lestari Rimba Terpadu, or in english is The Alliance of Integrated Forest Conservation.
ALeRT is a non-profit organization with the status of Indonesian legal entity Association (perkumpulan), not the Foundation (Yayasan). In Association, the all members of the organization have the same voice. In contrast to the Foundation are all about the foundation’s ways is determined by an entity called the Foundation Board of Trustees.
Logo
This is a logo of ALeRT Indonesia. A three dimensional globe with reddish color and a green ribbon as an “atmosphere” with the words of the acronym stands for ALeRT both in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
The reddish color of the earth globe indicates ALERT! Beware! with the earth which continues to be exploited excessively by humankind, causing the earth’s increasingly unhealthy, so that the color changes, no longer blue but “become” reddish, ready to be fire, ready to explode. The image of globe reddish earth in our logo also can be seen as a “button” or “knob” like, which when it pressed will cause a decision that will make the earth “explode”. This means again: ALERT! Beware! Earth will be destroyed when all humans on earth do not change their mindset and activities become more love to the earth. More preserve the earth, not continue to destroy greedily as if the earth will still be just fine.
But the green “atmosphere” ribbon surrouning the reddish globe also means HOPE. There is still a HOPE to save the earth and care for the earth to be more comfortable and not immediately “explode”. Namely are the green mindset, lifestyle and activities. The green mind set and activities of human; as much as possible; more faster the better; with integrity to work to maintain, protect and multiply; expanding forest on earth. Because only a nature tropical rain forest with all life in it, from microorganisms, insects, and animals on the land and in the air, all the trees from moss to the giant trees, the all ecosystem and biodiversity must remain there to help recover the earth. Natural Rain Forest is a forest that will preserve the earth remains comfortably inhabited by all the creatures in it.
It is why ALeRT-Indonesia presents on this planet, to jointly other human groups and individuals to work immediately to preserve natural forests, especially in Indonesia. Because Indonesia has a tropical rain forest that are vital as a ‘soul’ of the healthy Earth’s life. Soul for the Mother Earth.

ALeRT Indonesia adalah NGO yang baru berdiri di Way Kambas, Labuhan Ratu, Kabupaten Lampung Timur, Provinsi Lampung. ALeRT adalah singkatan dari Aliansi Lestari Rimba Terpadu, atau dalam bahasa Inggris adalah The Alliance of Integrated Forest Conservation.
ALeRT adalah sebuah organisasi non-profit yang didirikan dengan status badan hukum Perkumpulan, bukan Yayasan. Perkumpulan membuat seluruh anggota organisasi memiliki suara yang sama. Berbeda dengan Yayasan yang segala sesuatu tentang perjalanan Yayasan ditentukan oleh sebuah badan dalam Yayasan yang disebut Dewan Pembina.
Logo
Ini adalah logo ALeRT Indonesia. Sebuah bola bumi 3 dimensi dengan warna kemerahan dan pita ‘atmosfer’ berwarna hijau dengan tulisan kepanjangan dari singkatan ALeRT.
Warna bumi yang kemerahan ini menandakan ALERT! Waspada! dengan bumi yang terus dieksploitasi secara berlebihan oleh umat manusia, menyebabkan bumi makin tidak sehat sehingga warnanya berubah, tidak lagi kebiruan tapi kemerahan, siap menyala, siap meledak. Bumi berwarna merah ini juga terlihat seperti sebuah tombol, yang bila ditekan akan menyebabkan sebuah keputusan yang akan membuat bumi ‘meledak’. Artinya ALERT! Waspadalah! Bumi akan segera hancur bila seluruh manusia di bumi tidak merubah pola pikir dan aktivitasnya menjadi lebih sayang dengan bumi ini. Lebih memelihara bumi ini, tidak terus merusak dengan rakus seolah-olah bumi akan tetap baik-baik saja.
Namun ‘atmosfer’ hijau yang mengelilingi bola bumi kemerahan dalam logo adalah harapan. Masih ada harapan untuk memperbaiki bumi dan memelihara bumi agar lebih nyaman dan tidak segera ‘meledak’. Yaitu dengan pola pikir, gaya hidup dan aktivitas hijau. Pola pikir dan aktivitas hijau adalah sebanyak mungkin manusia; semakin banyak semakin bagus dan semakin cepat; dengan keterpaduan bekerja mempertahankan, melindungi dan menambah; memperluas hutan di muka bumi. Karena cuma hutan hijau subur dan lebat yang alami dengan seluruh kehidupan di dalamnya, dari mikroorganisme, serangga, dan hewan-hewan di darat dan di udara, seluruh pepohonan dari lumut sampai pohon raksasa, harus tetap ada untuk menolong bumi ini. Hutan alami adalah hutan yang akan memelihara bumi tetap nyaman dihuni oleh seluruh mahluk di dalamnya.
Untuk itu ALeRT Indonesia hadir di planet ini, untuk bersama-sama kelompok dan individu manusia lain segera bekerja keras mempertahankan hutan alami terutama di Indonesia. Karena Indonesia memiliki hutan hujan tropis yang sangat vital bagi ‘nyawa’ kehidupan bumi yang sehat. Nyawa bagi Mother Earth.
